The Gifted Life Podcast, a podcast enjoyed by thousands across the nation, features entertaining and informative conversations about organ, eye and tissue donation and transplantation. Produced by the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) near New Orleans, their goal is to raise awareness about the need for these lifesaving gifts. With more than 160 episodes, this podcast highlights a wide variety of topics relevant to registered organ donors, patients and practitioners – all while encouraging all listeners to register to be donors, and share their decision with family and friends.
The Alliance was highlighted on Episode 168 of the program, released on August 27. Through conversation with the program hosts, Karri Hobson-Pape, Executive Director of The Alliance, shared information about the founding of The Alliance and a variety of programs that exist today to serve the community of practice. The collegial conversation highlighted The Alliance Mentorship Program, Advancement Webinar Series and the many resources related to COVID-19 that have emerged for the community in the last year.
