May 7, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm• EST

Several OPOs nationwide have adapted the DCD recovery process by transferring patients to a centralized center in an effort to improve the quality of care and maximize donation outcomes. During this session, we will welcome three OPOs, in varying stages of the centralized DCD process, to share their experiences from inception to the current state. They will walk us through the hurdles they have navigated and the strategies that implemented to optimize success.

  • Explain challenges faced by hospitals in implementing centralized DCD recovery.
  • Describe hurdles experienced by families with donor transfers for DCD recovery.
  • Identify successful strategies and best practices in centralized DCD recovery.
